How did you get into STEM and Computing?

I got into science, math, and technology because I always found the subject difficult, but interesting. I dislike not knowing how to do things, so I challenged myself to better understand the subject at a young age. I still consider myself a life-long learner and still like to keep up-to-date with new research and technologies.

What are some successes and challenges you have experienced in getting to where you are now?

My successes are that I have learned so much and been given fabulous opportunities to keep learning and developing more technology. I have been approved for multiple grants, been published, written curriculum, and taught at conferences. I have gotten to meet amazing professionals and been lucky to work with some patient people who can help me learn. My challenges are that the technology is evolving so rapidly that it is time consuming to try and keep up to date. Plus, you never know what you don’t know.

What's working well?

Things that are working well is having a great community to draw from. I am supported by such great people that I always feel like I can ask for help. I have learned so much from my peers and professionals in other fields.
