Floor Robots

These small robots can be used in early elementary to reinforce basic sequential algorithms, counting skills, and more.  These robots are screen free and do not require a tablet or computer. The two common floor robots are the Bee-Bot and the Code & Go Robot Mouse.

Code & Go Robot Mouse is made by Learning Resources. They are affordable at about $35 each, or they can be purchased as part of a classroom bundle with additional resources. They are battery operated.

Bee-Bot is made by TTS International. They are available in the US from a variety of vendors and run about $100 per robot. They are available in six packs and many resources can be downloaded and purchased.  They are one of a family of robots that include an online emulator and Blue Bots which can also be programmed on a tablet or PC. Bee-Bots are rechargeable.

Grade Level: PreK-2 (although older students can benefit from these as well)
